Is it just me or are the diagram reference numbers out of sync with those same numbers in the part description and part number list.
For example I'm looking for some rubbers for the tank mount and in the section "NSR250R2J/R4J [R5K/R5K-2]" / Fuel Tank F14-1 / I can see the rubber mounting block for the rear of the tank is referenced as #13. However in the parts reference list below the diagram #13 is called a "Filler Cap COMP." ?
I have found this mismatch a few times. Is there a problem with the list or am I doing something silly?
David Silvers tell me the part is: 17613-473-000 which on the part listed as #12
I have found some inconsistencies too, in the English version.
At sometime it was mentioned that the Japanese language list has the correct numbers. _________________ Poul

EDIT: I just went through some of the pages and it looks like the errors are only in the pictures, not in the partsnumber list.
So you could use the Japanese pictures(they are better quality anyway) and then look up the item number on the corresponding English partsnumber list.
There are also some misspellings f.x. color should be collar _________________ Poul

I've been going through the Online Parts Manual over the last few weeks making some changes, and trying to correct the errors.
I added a warning to the home page a long time ago to say that you need to double-check part numbers, as there are known issues with it.
I've already done all the images for the MC16 and MC18 sections, and will be starting on the MC21 and MC28 soon. As I do the images, I will also check the part numbers one-by-one. _________________ Andy.

Hmm, if you haven't noticed: The English parts pictures are scanned from a papermanual and the numbers are wrong _________________ Poul

I'm very impressed and thankful for all the effort that you have done, however all that effort is effected by a couple of errors that presumably can be fixed with a bit of HTML editing.
I have recently picked up a nice magazine, DVD and hot up notes while at the motegi museum but they are all Japanese naturally. It would be a big effort to translate, so I understand your valuable input.
Can you make the changes to make your work 100% useful?

You must thank Charles and Andy, they set up this site and the parts manual. And Andy had the repair manual translated and put together.
It not so much the editing of HTML, its the work trying to find the errors. I believe Honda made the English translation but with errors in translation and drawings.
I think the simplest way is to copy the Japanese pictures and paste them into the English manual, instead of the pictures in that manual but it sounds like Andy is onto it (see above)
There's also this nice book. Title is in English but the whole text is in Japanese and hasn't been translated yet but even if there should be some tips there, the accumulated knowledge and practical experience of people on this site, by far supersedes what you could gain from the book.
