Fuel lines missing

Wed Jun 11, 2014 8:33 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi Mates,

I just edited the older post because i was mixing the subjects, so i decided to open a particular one for this issue, sorry for posting twice.
I was filling the tank and the gas started to poor in the floor, checking the bike i noticed that the gas came out of the filter box at the front part were there is like a nipple looking downwards. Cheking the parts diagram i see there's a tube attached and it seems to be tapped but it's not very clear. In the MC18 filter box diagram says its nš3 but i don't realize what is it.
Could you please help me?
With your permision i pasted the parts diagram for more detail.

Thanks in advance,
Cheers.
Javi

Part no. 3 is ONE tube, it's just drawn as two pieces (start and end); if you look closely, both pieces end with a jagged line where they face each other. That's how parts are sometimes drawn in technical drawings.

I am more worried about the fuel spilling out of the nipple underneath the tank. Did you overfill it?

Thanks Gepe you'are wright,Wink

It started to spill when I poured another 5 litres to fill up the tank but i didn't top it. It didn't drip until i placed the bike vertically so maybe it's an overfill.
I'll have a closer look to the tank to check everything.
Cheers

Hi Mates,

It seems that i poured too much gas on the tank and started to flood. Embarassed
Just took 2 litres of the tank and the bike does not spil gas it for now.
I was going to fit a tube like in the diagrams but i don't realice were the tube of the nipple below the tank goes.
Also i have missing the top fuel vent tube and i wanted to know were it goes aswell.
Thanks for your help guys, i'm starting to understand these bike.

Just finded the hose from below the tank, it was disconnected near the battery. Laughing
In the top nipple i will put a hose with a cap like in motocross bikes.
