Strange project 500...

Er... amazing how much time on their hands some people have!

Yep, that's 2 NSR250 motors joined in parallel to sort of make a V4, in a GSX-R frame!

I'm sure there has to be a better way to do it, but fair play to him! Laughing

Should be a 90hp motor with stock engines, and an incredibly robust 120~125hp with standard delimited engines. Whether it works like that though, I'm not sure.

I would've thought a VFR750 frame would've been better? At least Honda, and at least styling along the right lines.

Wacky!! Very Happy

Probably, but something along those lines has to be better than a GSX-R frame. Not sure how wide a VFR750 motor is, but 2 x NSR250 motors (less a little) can't be much different.

Considering all the working he is doing anyway, he should just make a proper frame.

There's a local guy, English though Very Happy , that takes H1 and/or H2 motors and makes 1000cc bikes out of them. He's quite good at it and I think he puts them back in the original bike.

is the guy called Appleyard and he did a kwak z2000 and other conquoctions in his house and featured in some bike mag and mcn.

imagine all that brains gone into building a nsr500 and sticking it in an gixer like that (sorry gixer lovers, never been my favourite model), maybe one too many track day offs, i suggest a new arai.

i've got a vincent engine i'm thinking of putting into a 89 yz250 frame...nice?

Not too keen on running the 2nd engine through the 1st crank! Talk about big bang... I would have tried to take the drive from the middle somehow, but these are obviously smart chaps so maybe not possible.

Have you seen the other page on the website joining two CR250 engines together?

Wow the things some people will attemp.. Ive often wondered how you could use a snomobile engine as there are many large displacement two strokes readily available..I dont think ive ever seen a bike with a CVT though.. It would be sick if it came on anywhere near as hard as some sleds ive been on. My last 600 twin had somewhere over 100HP tiny engine as well.. just no transmission Smile

putting two 2 strokes together, its kinda been done with the suzuki RG 500 (rear tyre 83. hp @ 10000 rpm) used to have one and now i want one again.

Would be fun to make a nsr 250 x 2 square 4 but in a CBR 600 frame or even a nsr 300 x 2 square 4.
