I'm about to fit HRC030 card to my MC28 and this will follow with air-box mod, carbon reeds, re-jet, new spark plug, gear oil, new chain and sproket hopefully give a good refreshment to the bike. Before i thought i wasnt gonna fit an HRC card, so i have found a MC21 flywheel, but now with the HRC card, I think with the MC21 flywheel is not recommended, so should i stick with the stock MC28 flywheel or should I get lightened flywheel like the HRC ones?
Additionally I've found this PGM unit with a HRC010 card however the PGM give no ignition so the PGM must not be working properly, any chance of repairing?
Although I'm really happy with my front folk now, but I want to change it to set of up-side down folk, Im not too sure what performance adventages can be gain, but it does looks better! What folk should I go look for ? And you think they will fit with the stock calipers and other stock parts? _________________ MC28, Repsol
Indeed the HRC card is not recommended with the '21 flywheel.
General consensous is that unless you have access to 100 ron proper leaded fuel the 010 card is useless.
The RVF400 fork will fit the stock wheel and brakes, you'll need RVF discs (they're bigger) as well (obviously) as the clipons and the yokes. Not sure how much work is needed to fit them. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
I see, thanks for the info.
What about those lighten flywheel on tyga website? and what effect it will have? less low-mid range? as momentum in lighten flywheel are less for each cycle specially at low rpm, im just guessing though.
Does the RS250 folk fit well with stock calipers, wheel and discs?
I wanna keep the stock break as it seems pretty good. But my disc is under 3mm. _________________ MC28, Repsol
If you are using the 030 card then stick with the MC28 flywheel. No 030 card and MC21 flywheel will work nice or stock card and a modified Woodruff key (sorry forgot this part name in English ) will be fine too. Don't mix em up or you could be in for a very serious and expensive mistake.
As for the forks, if you are looking to use the stock brakes go with Fontyyy's advice, you can use the stock calipers (MC28) and wheel but will need the larger 296mm discs. Or if you can find a set of RS250 forks/triples go for those as they are lighter and have better adjustment...but will not fit your stock brake calipers...but they do allow bolt on fitment of Brembo (40mm pitch) calipers. You can still use your front wheel and will also need the larger 296mm discs like on the older CBR600 and RVF400 bikes. Which ever set you decide on will still need to have a custom made stem shaft made up for you......I'd go for the Honda RS250 forks if you can find and afford em, good luck !!
