Tue Dec 05, 2006 2:57 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Guys

how can i be sure that the 2stroke low oil light is working? is it on switch on or when the bike starts that it lights up?

i turn the switch on and the light doesnt come on, at the moment i am not able to start the bike cause i wait for the parts to arrive.

The oil light should light up when the ignition key is first turned on with the kill switch in the run position. It will then go out after a few seconds. If it doesn't light up then either the bulb has gone or you have a short in the wiring.

If you jump the 2 wires (I think its 2) for the oil tank sensor the light should light up with the ignition on. This will test to see if its the sensor or blub/wiring at fault.
