300cc tyga kit questions

Fri Oct 05, 2007 8:44 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

after a second siezer melting the piston and damagin the cylnder sleeve its time to spend some money Sad my mechanic recomends its best to get the 300cc kit with all the nice parts than buy a single sleeve for not alot less ...

my dad (whos lending me the money) will help for cash, but doesnt want to influence me driving a 250cc+ (cc licence restriction)

is there anyway it would be illegal/? or for it to be obvious just incase i hit a little kid or hurt someone? insurance etc? thanks

If your legal limit is 250cc then a 300 will invalidate your insurance.

Are you happy to ride around with no insurance is the question and if you do get caught live with the effects of it.

Also, the barrels are clearly marked as 150 (149cc I seem to recall, to be accurate) so even a complete moron could spot them as oversized without the need to strip and measure the internals.

I think you already know the answer. Do the right thing... as you say, if you hit a little kid running out into the road after a football, and the insurance gives you (and the child and family) a big f*ck you, how will you live with yourself?

Think about the possibility of a 40' square room 20 hours a day and a boyfriend called Bubba... that alone should be enough to put you off! Smile

Getting caught will far outwiegh the cost difference between one cylinder and the 300 kit. No price tag for a messed up future either..

Yes, do the right thing!!! Grind off the 149cc from each cylinder and stamp 125cc on them Smile

I'm with CVharles of course Very Happy

However, in the interests of being a law abiding citizen you should stick to the rules.

Then again, it'll only take 5mins to whizz off the stock cc mark and stamp 125 in there instead Wink

Actually, smart arse Chester362 is probably right. I can't be bothered to walk upstairs to check, but I believe that the NSR is stamped as he says, and not 125.

well sh*t, that makes things easier! All you got to do it grind off the 1 (from 149) and stamp in a 2.

See were saving you even more time here.

300 kit..how many ponies?

Thu Oct 18, 2007 1:52 am » Post: #15 » Download Post

Slightly off topic here...and I am too lazy to search...how much down on hp is a properly tuned 250 vs the 300kit? There seems to be a varying opinions on this...could someone give me just a quick hp/torque/rev change?
