Hi I will need some comments on my plugs.
I finally got the jetting set up thanks to Andy and Matt, it’s now not fouling plugs after a few rides, but I am worried if it’s too lean. I have posted pics on my album, any comments will be appreciated. The airscrew are both 1-3/4 out. Front plug has a strange look with half tanned and half grey as seen on the picture, the rear is so so i guess.
As I was re-jetting there were a lot of carbs on carbs off so I had mixed a little 2T (60ml) in the gas just in case.
Thank you for your time.

Hey Max. If you have added some 2t to your gas tank, you have leaned out the fuel/air ratio. How much depends on the quantity of fuel in the tank that you started with.
The additional oil will also make it difficult to get a proper plug reading. Try again with unmixed fuel in your tank. ( if you are sure your oil pump is working). A new set of plugs will also make it easier to see the color.
Thanks, i will do so as soon as the snow clears up and i finished with this tank of slim premix, i have a 1km straight just 200m from my place, ends with a McD. will go in and have a coffee to wait till it cools down.
The bike is ready to be tested and all but with all this snow i guess i will start the brake caliper clean up, my rear brake is sticking real bad, found out that all the boots are broken, and the bush is very ugly so is with the pistons. Front is not sticking but i think i will clean them up also.
Before the parts get here and the weather clears up i guess i will stick to snowboarding. _________________ feel the wind
would just like to comment your bike is in a really goog cond. i just bought an mc16 as well but its still looks like a monster that crawled out of the junk yard. where about are you based? because i'm still missing some bits and pieces, and if you could maybe give me some useful tips and so on, would really appreciate. _________________ Just Bought MC16.

ok here goes for parts.
1) Tyga they have nearly all the engine parts, if they dont they will for sure offer you better compatable parts.
2) http://www.cmsnl.com they have small parts such as tank rubbers and brake boots, bush, pins, tubes... just type in the part number and have a look.
3) There is the www.ilovemotor.jp they have most of the ignition stuff and body panals.
4) Japan Yahoo Auction have tones of stuff but you must have a contact or something.
5)Local Honda's they can order it for you sometimes
6) www.wemoto.com they have a few rebuild kits, new brake disks, chain sprokets...
So get you credit card ready and start buying!
GF comes first in any case though. Dog comes second, and me and my bike at the bottom. _________________ feel the wind
Plug chop done at 10000rpm it was happy to rev higher but did not have enough confidense on the engine, i added the pictures on my album.
The bike pulls hard and strong on all gears.

AS 1-3/4.
Made 2 runs, flip the kill switch and glided home.
So any comments will be good! Thank you.

Difficult to say, as the pictures aren't clear enough. Try taking some photos from slightly further away... the auto focus is currently focussing on things about 65mm further away from the tip of the plug.
All you can safely tell from those photos is that the ignition is spot on! _________________ Andy.

Yes i would say edge is the right word... Looked down the spark hole and saw that the plug chop even burned off a amount of carbon build up on the piston heads,
As i said the setting is
SJ #38
MJ #110
AS 1-3/4.
will changing the AS 1-1/2 help the mixture? it is a street bike after all so it wont see a lot of WOT and screaming 12000rpm.
While riding around normaly in the city or just cruise along the road the plugs look like a little bit on the rich side but not fouling.(pictures are on the album also) _________________ feel the wind
Snow cleared again, i tried the AS at 1-1/2 on both cylinders, the front spark plug fouled on the second start up from cold. was wondering if its ok to set the AS differently between cylinders.
I would like to back out the front carb another 1/4 while keeping the rear at 1-1/2.
The bike is pulsing a lot at low RPM. As i said this is going to be a daily road bike runing in traffic and lots of stop and goes, is the stock 1-1/2 setting for road use? or for extream WOT riding use?
Thank you for reading. _________________ feel the wind
