Has anyone ever had to have daytime running lights on their NSR to satisfy the local gov't rules...
If anyone can provide some info..I was thinking to just bypass the on/off switch to have it stay on while it is getting tested. So the lights would stay on , not be able to be turned off while running and have the high beams still be able to be turned on and off..
Or the l/h switchgear from an RVF400 might be a bit cheaper.. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Haven`t you already answered your own question? Just wire the low beam into the ignition positive, so even when the switch is set to off, the light stays on.
If the bike`s legally registered, and the tester reasonable, then surely you can explain that as a non-domestic bike it had to be modified and that the switch is now disabled.
Either that, or screw a big 'self tapper' into the switch to stop it being operated! _________________

In the UK if running lights were a requirement you'd be able to get away with switching the switch on and taping it in place.
Ask, you never know your luck.
Then again I get the impression our test guys want to pass bikes, some countries doen't sound as bike friendly, after all in the UK this bike is road legal.
As it has no lights but does have a light switch (and needs it for the horn which is a requirement) I just taped the light switch up as there is a thought that anything there must work. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

Not really. It may have an MOT but as far as construction and use goes it's nowhere near. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
