hi
can anyone give me some help with fitting my torque arm?
i have got the swing arm end of it on with the swing arm bolt back in but the end were it bolts into the engine is slightly out, enough so you cant fit the bolt.
i have loosened the engine bolts to try and get a bit of movement but cant quite get it.'
does anyone have some experience with doing this job and having a similar problem?is it anything to do with the castleted nut end of the swing arm bolt?

Loosening all the engine mounts is a good start. I had the engine semi removed the other day to change the mounts as the bike had a bit much vibe. Took us a while to locate that torque arm, hidden away there behind the sprocket cover! Anyway, we put a couple of jacks with wooden blocks wedged between the jack and engine (to prevent damage). One in the middle and one under the bottom cylinder and jacked it to get the the engine to move up/down/forward and back a little. It's much better than trying to man handle the engine in to place while lining it up.
I did the same as the shyster, chambers off and had the bike supported by wood blocks under the engine. I attached the arm to the engine first, then positioned it for the swingarm bolt, worked smooth!
you have the bottom shock bracket off too right?
