After seizing the front cylinder, and some incorrect assembly, a bit of loving care has finally brought things were they should be. This is a 21 R engine with the wire spliced, a fresh top end and TYGA hi flow reeds. Other than this, I have new std jets and adjusted RC valve 'the HRC way'.
As soon as I completed the RC valve adjustment, I realized how the engine behaviour had changed, but yesterday I got the dyno readings. My friend and dyno owner has a vj22, which also puts 55 rwhp, but the power curve from the NSR is consistently +/- 5 hp above the rgv. He would not let me have a chart with both curves!
In any case, I am pretty happy with the throttle feeling, as happy as to not consider drilling the airbox lid. Not for street use.
Thanks for all the advice. I can now go and try to improve the aesthetics on my bike.
The NSR motor is so much better than an RGV in every respect. Honda really put some thought into it, Suzuki didn't. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...

Good result, but modifying the lid would see you with around another 5hp! You wouldn't lose out in the bottom/mid-range either. _________________ Andy.

You are right, Stephen, and that's something known by every NSR owner. I only made the comment because you should have seen the face of my friend. This is NSR world!
Andy, I know, but I use the bike 99% on the street. I've been only once on the track. It is true that I have not repeated 'couse the bike was not 100% and now it is, so I plan to return soon (what a shame the UK is so far from me). But I am still considering the 5hp gain at ¿10k-11k? with the potential loss in reliability/longevity. The other reason to leave it as is, is that I am no real mechanic. It seems that everything I touch goes wrong, and then I need extra time to put it back in working order LOL.
As it is now, riding on open roads with the engine between 7-10 k is a real pleasure! However, I have a range of jets seating in my garage, in case the lid is to be modified. I have an idea in the back of my mind... _________________
