Would 3 NSR-WORLD.COM logos on the clothing look too egotistical?

Egotistical or not?!...

Wed May 25, 2005 3:23 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

OK, some of you may have read in a recent post, that the latest batch of NSR-WORLD clothing has turned up incorrectly embroidered!

There should be an NSR-WORLD.COM logo on the right chest and the back of the neck, and an HRC logo on the left chest. Unfortunately the front NSR-WORLD logo is now on the right arm!

Do you guys think it would look too egotistical to have another NSR-WORLD.COM logo embroidered on the chest, should the batch be left as-is, or dhould they be returned and replaced by corectly machined garments?! I have after all paid nearly £200 for this little lot! Shocked

Quick input welcomed as I'd like to try and get this resolved before the Llandow track day/D-Day!

Andy,

I think they would look best as you originally designed them (i.e. NSR-WORLD.COM logo on the right chest and the back of the neck, and an HRC logo on the left chest) so I would rather mine were done right, IF it doesn't cost you anything but time and it shouldn't. If it's going to cost you money I doubt anyone is really that bothered about either another logo or a wrongly placed one. If they are they need some other things to worry about.
When I was in textiles (my parents owned a very small firm that I kind of inherited the running of, it went down when I had 5 months off work for a real bad RTA) if we'd got something wrong the customer would have had us put it right totally at best, not pay us for the work at all or (and this is worst of all) send us an invoice for the garments themselves.

In my opinion settling for anything less than what you asked for just encourages shoddy workmanship and I'm quite against that, re. the questionable quality of the work done on my '28 before I got it.

On the other hand of course, in 50 years time these few that are "wrong" could be collectors items and worth a fortune so you may want to keep one or 2 back anyway.

If only you were still in the business fontyyy, you could have the contract!! Smile Thanks for the input.

The company says they will add another logo to the chest F.O.C and do it before Llandow. I would just welcome some more opinions.

Are you going to do the 'British' thing ? Shu up and put up or, as one really should.... Send them back as it's not what you ordered ?

If you went to a restaurant and ordered steak and chips but got fish and chips, what would you do ?

No brainer really unless you prefer the delivered batch ?

I've sort of gone your way Jeff. The clothing is having an extra logo embroidered on the chest, and they are also supplying some "original" style F.O.C. for those who want the original "as advertised" garments.
