MC21 for sale

Sat Mar 24, 2012 1:56 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I've got to sell one (or maybe even two) of my bikes, my main race bike stays but the wet bike is back together again after wrecking it's crank at Cadwell.
Due to waiting for parts for the dry clutch swap I had planned I've put the wet clutch motor from the bitsa I bought from the IOW in, well I say the motor. The crank cases (which are stock and untouched), a good crank, a half a track day old top end and the old (stock) wet bike barrels. It's wearing the same slightly tatty HRC-a-like fairing it wore last year and the same lightly damaged (dented on the top, filled but not perfect and not painted again) Rothmans tank that I threw across the Gooseneck.

Stock motor, (apart from the rear head on the front), open carbs, slightly tatty HRC airtray, blocked off power jets, Tyga pipes that have seen better days
R model forks with 12.5w oil (surprisingly good)
CBR600 rear shock.
3.5" front rim (3" instead if you want but it really needs repainting badly), good 120 and 160 Diablo Supercorsa SC's.

It runs and rides down our road fine, I'm not going any further on the road as it's SORN'd and not insured.

It's daylight MOT'd and I've got loads of road bike kit (oil pump, lights, various assorted o.e. panels etc) from the IOW box of bits if you want them but I'm not going to claim there is all of the road kit there. The loom on the bike is stock (apart from the KISS delimiter) the light wiring is just cable tied up out of the way.

The bike as it sits now is £1850, no offers. Obviously I've got the V5, it's on a G plate.

If it doesn't sell I'll fit the black/silver bodywork (ex NSR-World racer) and the dry clutch when the bits arrive. But it'll be more £££ then....

I'll take some more pics of it soon.

This is now wearing some more road (ish) clothes due to a request that wasn't followed up;

Stock wet clutch engine, good bottom end, top end less than 100 miles old.
Stock carbs, o.e. pipes, stock airbox.
KISS delimiter
CBR600 rear shock, stock forks with uprated springs and 12.5w oil
Tatty bodywork, all o.e. Honda but not that good, needs (at least) full paint and minor repairs if you want a tidy roadbike
Stock 4.5" and 3" rims, stock brakes apart from braided front lines
Very good 120 and 160 SC1 and SC2 Diablo Supercorsa tyres, a few hundred track miles only
The rev counter glass is missing

Day light MOT, running pre-mix, comes with some road kit (oil pump and bottles, lights, o.e. and one piece seat units etc) but I wouldn't say all the road kit is there.

This bike runs fine and passed it's daylight MOT last week, but I'm selling it as a sold as seen project as it's SORN'd, the bodywork isn't fitted that well and it hasn't run more than up and down my (very short) street in this form. It seems silly to go spending money on fairing fasteners, paint etc when it's just got to go on top of the sale price.

could also be supplied with a race fairing as well (or instead) and a decent undamaged revcounter/temp gauge (with no speedo) if you fancy having it purely as a track bike which is what it's been since I bought it, hence I don't have all the road kit.
Or with a dry clutch motor (for more £££!)

The bike as it is right now (except it now has a white front wheel);

If you want any more pics, have any questions please ask but there's not much more to see, it is what it is, a slighty tatty NSR250 with an MOT and what should be a good motor. If you think it's a bit steep at the price mentioned above PM me an offer, you never know your luck! It has to go so if it doesn't sell soon you know where it'll be Wink
