The SE/SP rear shock on my mc21 is shot and needs attention ASAP.
I was going to just get it rebuilt, but is there much point? I'm quite a bit heavier then what the shock was designed for @ 90KGS (not to mention way too tall, I look like a clown on the bike ) so once rebuilt it will probably be far too soft ?
I have looked at maxton ohlins etc but I'm not doing anything serious with the bike so can't really justify £800+ for a shock.
Aware of the nitron kit but unfortunately I have reason not to go with one of those.
What Stephen said. I purchased an Ohlins shock for my SP, and still had to get a stiffer spring and change the valving and i'm only 140lbs. I also had my stock shock rebuilt on my SE with a new Eibach spring and changed the valving, and it performs wonderfully.
K-Tech have always done ours. You have to ask them to replate all the fastening if you want them done. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
Kais in Atherton near Manchester do a good job.
Rebuilt an F3 shock for me a couple of years ago.
Fitted a new aluminium end cap with a valve for the reservoir too.
It's the HO206. I believe it's technically for the MC21, but the length in only 5-7mm longer and considering it has adjustable ride height and I've switched to a 17" rear, it should be fine.
