I have bought a load of things from TYGA but im not gona have the cash for another month or so to get it all fitted, but in the meen time id like to put the new chambers on and tail pipes, will this do any engine damge if i ride it like this without the jetting kit and other bits being installed?
YES you will do damage so do NOT run your pipes without re jetting the carbs, you do hear of people running chambers on standard jets with no problems but they are extremely lucky. _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

I ran my MC21 with stock jetting with pipes for years and had no issues. I didn't change my air box, or intake at all. _________________ Charles Gallant
It's not going to seize at startup anyway and the only way to jet correctly is by sucking it and seeing.
Did you get the modded airbox lid? If not put a couple of decent size holes in the top (mine are about 1 1/2" across). It'll never make decent power being strangled with a standard lid.
It's the only way really, when I got my '28 back from Apex it was running Jo's safe jetting and was good I thought, it's 10 times better now.
Have a play, get to know your bike a load better, get the job done properly and save money into the bargain. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Ive got tyga pipes, chambers, Airbox mod, HRC jet kit, Carbon Reeds, and HRC stuffers, exactly the same as nigels bike, and he got it set up by Total traction, so im going to go there, OH yeah im just waiting for JAMIE to reply and im getting a Daytona turbo filter from him $56 US delivered to the door, I would do it my self but i have only a basic idea about things, and would worry its not done right. its gona cost around £300 i think to get it done which is why i gotta wait till next month or month after that, Cheers for the links.

It's your call mate, Nigel's bike is as sweet as. But everyone knew nothing once, I'm no pro mechanic.
Horses for courses really, depends what you want, I can't sit here knowing my bike can run a bit better and not have a go and it's always going to be able to run "a bit better" than someone can set it up on a dyno, it's seamless now WOT from tickover right through but every little part throttle splutter still annoys me
I'm running a Moto Air free flowing thing from Apex - part no. MF2053, not sure if it's quite as good as the Daytona Turbo, but it is about 8 times cheaper Steve has some HRC foam in his _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Just installed a set of Tyga GP on my wifes NSR, all stock & it runs very well.
If your just street riding you should have a problem. Also you can check your plugs and tell if your going to damage your engine. Not that much different then if you were to go thru the jetting process, it's test and trial no matter what you do.
Now if your going to do a track day or race well thats mean revvvvvvv's and seize it may, it's wide open for long periods.
No matter what it's your call. If your not comfortable with it don't do it. _________________
Andy by the looks of this thread you can run Tyga pipes on standard jets, you learn something new everyday.
Charles with you knowledge of NSRs and two strokes are you seriously saying its ok to run standard jets
and check out Fontyyy with his advise, now i am just waiting for the seizure, and all because you are chasing 1 HP. _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

Im going with Monkey, Fontyyy, and Mr Dave.... Im going to wait and have it done right. I dont want to kill my little bike.... it may run well stock but if i ride down to london again and have to show the big boys what its all about the bikes gona getting a thrashing a Basel Fawlty thrashing. So it wouldnt look cool siezing your bike while trying to "GO ROUND THE OUTSIDE" the folk on this site heve there head screwed on and for the sake of 4 weeks ill wait and have Total Traction do it. All those running stock jets and tyga pipes hands up, Easy pickings on track days...

It'll run like a beauty, they alway do when they're nice and lean, the first thing you know is when you're on the stop in 6th and the back end starts to wiggle, and safer on the street? Really? I had my '28 WOT in 6th today for about 3 miles and did well over a 100mph for 15 miles, show me the track where you'd do that, hence;

So what im reading here is even after Total Traction have done the work(recomended on this site) im still gona do a plug chop to make sure its done right...Cool, what a can of worms ive opened, BUT nice juicy ones!!! Cheers guys, im gona do the jetting stuff after all and get it set up i just gave matt £650 for my stuff itd be a shame to through it down the road.

I am saying that I ran TYGA Pipes with stock jetting for two years, and didn't have a problem. That was the ONLY Modification to the bike (engine wise). Once I starting "dinking" with the intake, I changed the jetting to a very safe setting, and started to come down till I found a setting that allowed the bike to make good power, yet didn't run to lean.
Does this mean that it's the gospel? No, just giving my findings is all.
Of course if you want the exhuast to perform up to it's best potential then you need to modify the intake, and jet. Take the entire system into account, and tune it as a whole. Pipes by themselves when strangled by a stock intake are nothing more then fancy shiny parts.
Oh ye, if you get the SS pipes from TYGA, grab some Mothers MAG polish, and get working on the pipes. From TYGA they come as dull as an over worked prositute. But with very little elbow grease, they come out mirror bright. Makes a WORLD of difference (in looks, does nothing for performance).
